Job summary

OhioHealth in Pickerington, OH seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) including PA/NP roles to work with the vascular surgeon in the operating room and hospital inpatient setting. Performs invasive procedures and requires a high level of independent clinical decision-making.

Day shift, 40 hours per week, with supervision by the vascular surgeon. Requires Master’s degree, BLS, NCCPA, and SA/SCA with a physician.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required for APP/PA/NP roles.
• NCCPA certification required for physician assistant practice.
• BLS certification required for clinical practice.

Responsibilities

• Works with vascular surgeon in the operating room and inpatient setting.
• Performs invasive procedures and uses independent clinical judgment.
• Ensures SA/SCA with supervising physician and adheres to state laws and privileges.

Job Description Summary:

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP), Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) including Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) or Nurse Practitioner (NP), work in collaboration with the vascular surgeon in the operating room, in the hospital-based inpatient setting. Performs invasive procedures and requires a high level of independent clinical decision-making.

Responsibilities And Duties:

Works under direction and in consultation/collaboration with physician and may perform services authorized by the supervising/collaborating physician that are part of the physician’s normal course of practice and expertise. Promotes quality outcomes and initiatives. Must have a Supervision Agreement (SA) or Standard Care Arrangement (SCA) with a physician in like practice. Practices within applicable state laws, appropriate boards, and in accordance with his/her/their SA/SCA and delineation of privileges.
