Job summary

The Department of Surgery, Division of Vascular Surgery at the University of Washington invites applications for a full-time Vascular Surgery Inpatient/Outpatient Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant position at Harborview Medical Center. This faculty appointment is at the rank of Teaching Associate with an anticipated Fall 2026 start date.

Qualifications

• Current and valid WA State Registered Nurse Licensure for ARNP or Physician Assistant licensure for PA-C.
• Graduate Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program or accredited Physician Assistant Program.
• Nationally certified ARNP/PA and eligible for DEA.
• Proven excellence in interdisciplinary collaborative team environment.
• Effective interpersonal and leadership skills; able to communicate in English.
• Prior vascular surgery experience preferred; strong onboarding for new graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

• Provide full spectrum of vascular surgery patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Work on a dedicated inter-professional team with physicians, surgeons, and nurses.
• Educate nursing and resident staff.
• Participate in quality and process improvement projects for the Division of Vascular Surgery.
• Perform other related duties as required.
