Job summary

Southern New Hampshire Health's Ultrasound department seeks a seasoned Vascular Sonographer to join a dedicated team in Manchester. You will perform vascular ultrasound exams following IAC standards and ARDMS ethics, with leadership duties when the supervisor is away, ensuring protocol adherence and professional judgment.

Applicants should be ARDMS-registered in vascular or CCI certified, with experience in vascular scanning and a commitment to patient care and learning.

Qualifications

• Experience in vascular scanning is required.
• ARDMS vascular certification or CCI credential is required.
• Excellent professional judgment and adherence to ethics is expected.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound procedures based on IAC standards and ARDMS code of ethics.
• Serves as Team Leader in the absence of Ultrasound Supervisor.
• Adheres to departmental exam protocols and uses independent professional judgment.

About the Job:

The practice of sonography is performed by a segment of health care professionals responsible for the administration of high frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques for medical purposes. Sonography integrates scientific knowledge, technical skills, patient interaction, and care resulting in diagnostic information. A sonographer performs the ultrasound examination that creates the images needed for diagnosis. A sonographer recognizes conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure and exercises independent professional and ethical judgment.

What You’ll Do:

• Performs ultrasound procedures based on the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission standards (IAC) and the adheres to the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) “Code of Ethics”

• Serves as Team Leader in the absence of Ultrasound Supervisor.

• Understands and adheres to departmental exam protocols

• Use independent, professional, ethical judgment and critical thinking.

Who You Are:

• Experience in vascular scanning, Required

• Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy, Required

• Registered in vascular with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) (active status), Required

  • OR Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), Required
