Job summary

Park Nicollet is seeking a Vascular Sonographer to autonomously perform complex vascular ultrasound and physiologic procedures, supporting diagnosis and treatment of vascular disease.

Responsibilities include maintaining patient logs, assisting with data registry entries, inventory, and helping preserve IAC accreditation, while working with Vascular Lab Supervisors and Surgeons to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• AR DMS RVT certification required or within 6 months of hire.
• Aptitude for anatomy and physiology of vascular, peripheral, visceral and cardiovascular systems.
• Ability to work independently with good judgement and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of age-related growth and development for safe patient care.

• Maintain accurate patient logs and help with data registry entries.
• Assist with ordering supplies and maintaining accreditation (IAC).

Position Summary:

Autonomously performs complex diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures and physiologic procedures under the supervision of the Vascular Lab Supervisor, as well as the Vascular Surgeons, for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of vascular disease. Office responsibilities: Keep accurate daily Patient Logs, help maintain the Data Check software registry entries, help in ordering supplies, help maintain IAC accreditations.

Work Schedule:

Mon - Fri, 7:30am - 4:00pm

Required Qualifications:

• Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
  • RVT certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) is required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • The sonographer must demonstrate an aptitude for human anatomy and physiology, particularly as these areas relate to the peripheral, visceral, and cardiovascular systems.
  • They should use sound judgement in administrating tests and documenting observations.
  • The sonographer must be able to work independently.
  • The ability to exercise good judgement and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
