Job summary

Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital in Minnesota is seeking a Sonographer to join our Radiology team. You will perform high quality diagnostic ultrasound imaging, interact with patients, physicians, and staff, and maintain ultrasound equipment in optimal condition.

Responsibilities include following emergency protocols, ensuring safety, continuing education, and advancing knowledge of ultrasound technology. ARDMS registry or eligibility required; RDMS/RVT within 6 months; CPR current.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Medical Sonography or equivalent.
• Must be willing to participate in continuing education to remain current on technical advances as they occur.
• Must be registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
• Registered in RDMS and RVT within 6 months of hire required.
• Must maintain current CPR skills.

Required Qualifications:

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

Graduate from an accredited School of Medical Sonography or equivalent

Must be willing to participate in continuing education to remain current on technical advances as they occur.

Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:

Must be registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).

Registered in RDMS and RVT within 6 months of hire required.

Must maintain current CPR skills.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Must have a strong anatomy and physiology background.

Ability to assess results, problem solve, and use independent judgment.

Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.

Must have proven ability to operate the following safely and efficiently: Ultrasound equipment, Fax, Telephone, PC, Printer, and Photocopier.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

Additional specialized training or at least one year of ultrasound experience preferred.
