Job summary

The Vascular Sonographer role involves performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound imaging to assess blood vessels and related conditions at Health Care Administrators Association® (HCAA). You will operate ultrasound equipment, produce accurate images, and collaborate with patients and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Candidates should be graduates of a Sonography program or have on-the-job training with a registered preceptor.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Sonography program or completed on-the-job training under a registered preceptor.
• State licensure may be needed.
• Certification (ARDMS, CCI, ARRT) or eligibility; registration within 6 months.
• BLS certification is also necessary.

Job description

Role:

The Vascular Sonographer performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound imaging to assess blood vessels and related conditions.

Responsibilities:

Operate ultrasound equipment, produce accurate images, and collaborate with patients and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications:

Must be a graduate of a Sonography program or have on-the-job training with a registered preceptor; no prior experience required. State licensure may be needed, and certification (ARDMS, CCI, ARRT) or eligibility is required, with registration obtained within 6 months. BLS certification is also necessary.

Skills & Abilities:

Proficiency in producing diagnostic images, understanding machine operation and safety protocols, attention to detail, excellent communication, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform bending, reaching, and other physical tasks.
