Job summary

Southeast Atlanta Vascular Care in Lithonia, GA is seeking a skilled vascular ultrasound technologist to support the clinical team in the vascular center. You will perform ultrasound imaging, assist radiologists, and interact with patients, physicians, and dialysis facilities as part of our community outreach.

The ideal candidate holds ARDMS/RVT certification or eligible, has ACLS or willingness to obtain, and provides excellent patient care with strict adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Possess ability to perform all vascular ultrasound procedures.
• Must demonstrate excellent customer service to patients, physicians, visitors and co-workers.
• Adhere to patient safety initiatives and safety protocols.
• ACLS certification required or willing to obtain within 3 months of employment.
• Knowledge of sterile technique and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to the clinical team with vascular procedures in the vascular center.
• Perform ultrasound imaging and related procedures across ultrasound areas.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and gain cooperation.
• Support radiologist in fluoroscopic and X-ray examinations as needed.
• Prepare images for radiologist or requesting physician review.
• Maintain equipment, perform routine maintenance and arrange repairs.
• Monitor patients during procedures and operate C-Arm within scope.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and manage medical supply inventory.
