Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a Vascular Sonographer to perform Echocardiography and/or Vascular diagnostic testing in line with Accreditation Guidelines. The role reports preliminary findings to physicians and operates within organizational standards and policies.

Requirements include ARDMS RVT or RDCS (or equivalent through CCI), BLS certification, and a preference for an Associates or Bachelors in Diagnostic Medical Sonography with at least 1 year of CV imaging experience.

Qualifications

• AR DMS RVT or RDCS certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Associates or Bachelors in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred.
• Minimum one year experience in cardiovascular imaging preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Echocardiography and/or Vascular diagnostic testing per guidelines.
• Report preliminary findings for physician interpretation.
• Adhere to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.

Position Purpose:

The Cardiovascular Sonographer is responsible for performing Echocardiography and/or Vascular diagnostic testing as per Accreditation Guidelines. Reports preliminary findings for physician interpretation, Functions within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of the organization.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Registered by the ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) as a RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) or RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or Registered by CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) as a RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) or RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist)

• BLS certification required

• Associates or Bachelors degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred

• Minimum one (1) year experience in cardiovascular imaging preferred
