Job summary

Mount Carmel is seeking a Cardiovascular Sonographer to perform echocardiography and vascular studies, with findings reported for physician interpretation. You will operate within accreditation guidelines and the organization’s standards, policies, and procedures.

The role requires ARDMS RVT or RDCS (or CCI RCS/RVS) credentials, BLS, and preferably an associate or bachelor’s in diagnostic medical sonography, plus about one year of cardiovascular imaging experience.

Qualifications

• Registered ARDMS RVT or RDCS (or CCI RCS/RVS) credentials.
• BLS certification required.
• Associates or Bachelors in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred.
• Minimum one year of cardiovascular imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Echocardiography and/or Vascular diagnostic testing per Accreditation Guidelines.
• Report preliminary findings for physician interpretation.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Registered by the ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) as a RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) or RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or Registered by CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) as a RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) or RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist)
• BLS certification required
• Associates or Bachelors degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred
• Minimum one (1) year experience in cardiovascular imaging preferred
