Brown University Health is seeking a Vascular Technologist to perform non-invasive vascular ultrasound examinations, including duplex scanning and color flow imaging, and to document findings with care. This role collaborates with radiologists and clinicians to support timely diagnosis and treatment of vascular disease.
Requirements include completion of a CAAEP-accredited vascular ultrasound program and one year of experience; ARDMS certification or eligibility is preferred.
The Vascular Technologist performs non-invasive vascular ultrasound examinations to evaluate arterial, venous, and cerebrovascular circulation. The technologist is responsible for obtaining high-quality diagnostic images, accurately documenting findings, and providing exceptional patient care in accordance with Hospital and Brown University Health standards. This position works collaboratively with radiologists, referring providers, nurses, and other healthcare team members to support timely diagnosis and treatment of vascular disease.
Completion of a CAAEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) accredited ultrasound program with concentration in Vascular Ultrasound.
Certification by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or registry eligible.
One year full-time clinical experience in Vascular Ultrasound. Demonstrated knowledge and skill necessary to provide care to adult and geriatric patients with consideration of human developmental stages and respect for cultural patterns in each step of the care process.

Healthcare environment such as physicians’ medical office practice and ancillary healthcare enterprises. Works with medical office equipment and has direct patient contact. Any potential hazards are minimized by adherence to established safety procedures and precautions including use of safety equipment and protective clothing. Walks and stands intermittently throughout the day. May be exposed to electrical and energy hazards. May lift and position patients, and lift supplies up to 50 pounds.
