As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be trained for comprehensive ultrasound of the deep and superficial venous system of the legs, including anatomy, assessing reflux, and assessing deep vein thrombosis in collaboration with a Physician.

This position works first shift, full-time, Monday to Friday at our St. Louis clinic.

Responsibilities

• Receive on-the-job training for comprehensive ultrasound of the venous system of the legs, including anatomy, reflux assessment, and deep vein thrombosis, in collaboration with the Physician.
• Perform ultrasound examinations to create a Venous Flow Map to recommend safe and effective treatment plans.
• Assist the Physician in explaining treatment plans to patients, ensuring understanding of how these plans meet their specific needs.
• Set up and clean the procedure, exam, and ultrasound rooms before and after each patient.
• Perform additional ultrasound examinations as required by the treatment plan to ensure safety and effectiveness.
• Adhere to standard time allotments for each ultrasound exam to maintain efficient patient flow.
• Coordinate with office staff, administrative staff, and Physicians to review ultrasound schedules, ensuring availability of technicians and maintaining an efficient patient load.
• Develop and maintain professional skills through continued education and interaction with other Ultrasound Technologists.
• Maintain equipment and manage supply inventory for continued operations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Certificate of Completion from an accredited Ultrasound program.
• Must be ARDMS registered and obtain RVT certification within 6 months of employment.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work as part of a team.
