Job summary

Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NH, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Vascular Sonographer to perform non-invasive ultrasound procedures and evaluate findings. This weekday role includes one weekend of call per month and offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

The position requires graduation from an accredited Cardiovascular Technology or Nursing program, and registration as a Vascular Sonographer with BLS within 30 days of start date. Join our team delivering patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Cardiovascular Technology or Nursing Program.
• Registered Vascular Sonographer.
• Basic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-invasive ultrasound procedures and assess tissue and blood flow.
• Analyze findings to complete the exam and provide data to the physician for diagnosis.
• Initiate additional scanning techniques or administer contrast as indicated by the exam.
• Notify appropriate personnel if findings are significant or patient condition is of concern.

Job Summary

As a Vascular Sonographer, you would perform non-invasive ultrasound procedures while recognizing sonographic characteristics of normal and abnormal tissue, structures and blood flow. You will adjust scanning techniques to optimize image quality and spectral waveform, perform measurements and calculations according to laboratory protocol.

• You would analyze sonographic findings throughout the course of the examination to complete the comprehensive exam and provide sufficient data to the physician to render a final diagnosis.

• Initiate additional scanning techniques or administer contrast agents as indicated by the examination and according to established laboratory policy and procedure.

• You would notify appropriate personnel when procedural findings are significant and or patient condition is of concern.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate from an accredited Cardiovascular Technology or Nursing Program.

• Registered Vascular Sonographer.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
