Job summary

Medical Essential Diagnostics is seeking a qualified vascular ultrasound technologist to perform adult ultrasound scans and contribute to patient care within our New Jersey clinic.

The role requires RVT/ARRT/ARDMS certifications and at least 1 year of vascular ultrasound experience. You will upload measurements in Onepacs/EMR, educate patients about procedures, and collaborate with providers to ensure efficient clinic operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of vascular ultrasound experience.
• RVT, ARRT, ARDMS/RDMS certifications required.
• Ability to remain composed under stress and use sound judgment.
• Strong analytical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Solid communication skills (verbal and written).
• Able to work independently and as part of a care team.
• Proficient with EMR and medical reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform adult vascular ultrasound scans and document findings.
• Collaborate with providers and clinic staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Interpret anatomy images, differentiate artifacts, and recognize equipment limits.
• Upload and document measurements/reports in Onepacs/EMR.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and address questions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct adult ultrasound scans on various patients

• Collaborate and communicate with the provider regarding clinical assessments and the clinic staff to ensure smooth flow within clinic operations.

• Perform examinations, recognizing the significance of all structures that are visualized, differentiating artifacts from appropriate images, while recognizing the limitations of equipment and utilizing knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

• Responsible for uploading and documenting measurements/reports through Onepacs systems and our EMR system.

• Educate patients and families of safe and appropriate testing; thoroughly explaining procedures, answering questions and calming concerns.

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience in Vascular Ultrasounds

• RVT Certification, ARRT Certification, ARDMS/RDMS Certification

• Ability to maintain composure under stress, using tactical and good judgment.

• Demonstrate analytical decision-making skills; ability to quickly assess and resolve technical and patient care problems.

• Ability to work both independently and as a care team member.

• Ability to comply with all HIPAA requirements.
