Job summary

Heart And Vascular Partners in Denver, CO seeks a vascular sonographer to perform quality peripheral and abdominal vascular ultrasound examinations. You will acquire measurements, create preliminary reports, and communicate findings to the interpreting physician.

The role includes patient education, maintaining equipment, and ensuring accurate data for billing and clinical reporting. 32-36 hours weekly with negotiable shifts.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current ARDMS or CCI or registry eligible; pass within one year of hire.
  • Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • BLS or ACLS (to be obtained within 30 days of hire).

Responsibilities

  • Complete vascular and echocardiography examinations with quality results.
  • Acquire measurements per protocol and create digital preliminary reports.
  • Verbalize preliminary findings to the interpreting physician.
  • Maintain accurate data for clinical reports, demographics, and billing.
  • Ensure equipment is functional and properly maintained.
  • Perform routine administrative tasks to support office operations.

Job description

About this position

As a vascular sonographer, you will complete all functions necessary in performing quality peripheral and abdominal vascular ultrasound examinations.

Essential Functions of the Role:

  • Supports patient care by performing echocardiogram procedures , educating the patient on the process and answering any questions they may have
  • Demonstrates proficiency with the use of ultrasound equipment and associated procedures.
  • Routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the offices of physicians and other health practitioners running efficiently.
  • Appropriately acquire echocardiographic measurements per protocol, create digital preliminary reports and verbally communicate preliminary findings to the interpreting physician
  • Assures accuracy data for clinical reports, demographics and billing information for physician reports
  • Shows a high degree of judgment and skill in use of sonographic equipment.
  • Ensures that equipment is constantly functional and maintained for immediate use.
  • Maintains records and reports on equipment and procedures performed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D
  • Current ARDMS or CCI or registry eligible and pass registry within one year of hire
  • Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program
  • A valid driver’s license
  • BLS or ACLS ( Will need to obtain within 30 days of hire)

Desired Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in dedicated vascular ultrasound
  • One (1) years' experience preferred as an ultrasound technologist. Vascular experience preferred.

This position is a clinical position and will report to the office 4 days per week, day shift, for a total of 32-36 hours per week. Exact hours and day shift are negotiable.

Physical Requirements

This position requires a full range of body motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 50 pounds.
