Job summary

USA Clinics Group in Chicago, IL is seeking a Vascular Sonographer to perform comprehensive vascular ultrasound exams focused on the lower extremities, delivering an excellent patient experience.

Responsibilities include venous mapping and duplex studies, with opportunities to work across vein clinics and vascular labs. Requires RVT/RVS/RPhS credentials or eligibility and strong communication in a patient-centered setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Vascular Ultrasound program.
• Current RVT, RVS, or RPhS credential, or eligibility to obtain within 90 days.
• Experience performing venous insufficiency, reflux, venous mapping and venous duplex studies preferred.
• Ability to independently perform vascular ultrasound examinations and document high-quality images.
• Strong communication skills and patient-focused care environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform vascular ultrasound studies including venous insufficiency, reflux, venous mapping, and venous duplex examinations.
• Perform additional vascular imaging such as carotid, arterial duplex, ABI, DVT, and PVR testing when applicable.
• Independently perform and document ultrasound examinations while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
• Support patient care within a vein clinic, vascular laboratory, or related vascular imaging environment.
• Utilize PACS and EMR to document studies, manage images, and support clinical workflow.

Position Summary

As a Vascular Sonographer at USA Clinics Group, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality ultrasound examinations focused on the vascular system. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough vascular ultrasound assessments on patients, specifically targeting the lower extremities, while ensuring an exceptional patient experience throughout the process.

Position Details

• Location: Chicago, IL (Will float between our clinics in Chicagoland area)
• Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
• Compensation: $42-$49/hr based on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Perform vascular ultrasound studies including venous insufficiency, venous reflux, venous mapping, and venous duplex examinations.
• Perform additional vascular imaging studies if applicable such as carotid, arterial duplex, ABI, DVT, and PVR testing.
• Independently perform and document ultrasound examinations while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
• Support patient care within a vein clinic, vascular laboratory, or related vascular imaging environment.
• Utilize PACS and EMR systems to document studies, manage images, and support clinical workflow.
• Apply broad sonography knowledge when appropriate, including experience with general ultrasound modalities such as OB/GYN and abdominal.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Vascular Ultrasound program, required.
• Current RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist), RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist), or RPhS (Registered Phlebology Sonographer) credential, or eligibility to obtain certification within 90 days is required.
• Demonstrated experience performing venous insufficiency, reflux, venous mapping, and venous duplex studies is preferred.
• Ability to independently perform vascular ultrasound examinations and produce high-quality diagnostic images, required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a patient-focused healthcare environment, required.
