Job summary

StrideCare is seeking a Radiology Technologist (R.T.) to join our surgical team in Arlington, TX. The RT will perform x-ray procedures in operating and special procedure rooms, ensure image quality, and assist with case prep and equipment calibration.

The ideal candidate has an accredited RT program, ARRT certification, fluoroscopy permit, current CPR, and strong communication skills to support staff and physicians in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• R.T. Certification and Fluoroscopy Permit required.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble supplies and positioning aids per physician preference cards.
• Test and monitor radiology equipment for proper function.
• Ensure all personnel are shielded before activating x-ray.
• Maintain aseptic technique during procedures.
• Remain available during procedures for timely support.
• Follow federal/state regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
• Document radiation exposure in patient records.
• Assist with inventory control and suite turnover/cleaning.
• Provide support to staff, physicians, and visitors using strong guest relations.
• Serve as a resource to other staff members.
• Follow all infection control and OSHA guidelines, including PPE use.
• Participate in staff education, QI activities, and staff meetings.
• Maintain required certifications and assist in emergencies.
• Support new employee/student orientation and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary: The Radiology Technologist (R.T.), under minimal supervision, performs a variety of duties as a member of the surgical team. The R.T. conducts x-ray procedures in the operating and special procedure rooms, processes images, and ensures proper equipment calibration. They may assist in preparing supplies/equipment for cases and contribute to case prep for the following day.
