Job summary

Vascular Institute of the Rockies in Denver is seeking a Paramedic/EMT to join our vascular surgery team for hands-on clinical work and patient care. This full-time position supports provider clinics and procedures, with rooming patients, documenting vitals, ECGs, and coordinating records.

The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and nurses in a fast-paced specialty practice, with opportunities to learn procedural skills and sterile technique.

Qualifications

• EMT/paramedic experience required; certification preferred.
• Experience in surgery/vascular or procedural settings strongly preferred.
• Comfort with rooming, vitals, ECGs, documentation, and care coordination.
• Comfort with sterile technique; training may be provided.
• Strong communication, organization and teamwork in a fast-paced practice.
• Experience with electronic medical records (eClinicalWorks preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist with check-in, scheduling, phone coverage, and other patient support duties.
• Room patients promptly and prepare them for visits and procedures.
• Verify social history, medical history, allergies, medications, and reason for visit.
• Obtain and document vitals and ECGs.
• Document patient data in the EMR.
• Assist providers with in‑office procedures and sterile technique.
• Support wound care, dressing changes, and pre-/post‑procedure care.
• Coordinate diagnostic records and outside imaging, labs, and referrals.
• Arrange admissions, pre‑admission testing, and lab services as needed.
• Protect confidentiality and follow privacy and safety standards.
