Job summary

Primary Vascular Care in New York is seeking a Per Diem Sedation Nurse (RN) to join our full-time team. This role supports vascular procedures in operating rooms and requires experience with moderate sedation and cardiopulmonary monitoring.

Candidates must hold an active RN license with BLS and ACLS, be able to travel across the Bronx and Brooklyn, and work collaboratively with physicians and staff to ensure patient safety and efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years in procedural, interventional, or critical care settings.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor moderate sedation for vascular procedures.
• Continuously assess vital signs, airway status, and level of consciousness.
• Prepare patients including IV access and pre-procedural assessment.
• Maintain safety and comfort before, during, and after sedation.
• Document sedation meds and patient responses per guidelines.
• Ensure emergency equipment and monitoring devices are ready.
• Assist with sterile technique and procedural workflow.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure efficient operation.
• Monitor recovery and discharge patients safely.
