  • Evaluate patients for thrombolytic therapy, anticoagulation and acute interventions.
  • Maintain comprehensive patient records using electronic health records.
  • Participate in clinical rounds, case conferences and departmental meetings.
  • Contribute to clinical research projects and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide consultation services to other departments on vascular neurology.
  • Stay current with advances in vascular neurology through education.

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically skilled Vascular Neurologist to join our neurology department in Detroit, United States. In this role, you will provide specialized clinical care to patients with cerebrovascular diseases and neurological conditions affecting the vascular system. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care, advance clinical practice, and contribute to ongoing research initiatives.

  • Diagnose and manage patients with acute and chronic cerebrovascular diseases, including stroke, transient ischemic attacks, and intracranial stenosis
  • Perform detailed neurological examinations and interpret advanced neuroimaging studies, including CT angiography, MR angiography, and digital subtraction angiography
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and evidence-based guidelines
  • Collaborate with neurointerventional radiologists, neurosurgeons, and other specialists to coordinate patient care and treatment strategies
  • Evaluate patients for thrombolytic therapy, anticoagulation management, and other acute interventions
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient medical records using electronic health record systems
  • Participate in clinical rounds, case conferences, and departmental meetings to discuss complex cases and best practices
  • Contribute to clinical research projects and quality improvement initiatives focused on cerebrovascular disease management
  • Provide consultation services to other departments regarding vascular neurological conditions
  • Stay current with advances in vascular neurology through continuing education and professional development
Qualifications
  • Must have completed an ACGME/AOA approved Neurology Residency program.
  • Must have completed or are currently completing a Vascular Neurology Fellowship program.
  • Must be board-eligible/board-certified in Neurology.
