Job summary

Summa Health Medical Group is seeking an inpatient Stroke Neurologist to join our Neuroscience Institute in Akron, Ohio. The role offers a flexible 7-on/7-off block schedule for 23 weeks per year to support work-life balance and continuity of care.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team including Neurosurgery, Neurocritical Care, Endovascular and Critical Care Trauma programs to deliver coordinated care from emergency care through recovery.

Qualifications

• Board certified or eligible in Neurology.
• Active Ohio medical license or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient stroke neurology coverage.
• Collaborate with Neurosurgery, Neurocritical Care, Endovascular and Critical Care teams.
• Participate in Telestroke calls with additional compensation.
• Ensure seamless care from emergency intervention to recovery in a closed ICU model.

The position offers inpatient coverage on a flexible 7-on/7-off block schedule for 23 weeks per year, which promotes both work-life balance and continuity of care.

Candidate Qualifications

• Board certification and/or eligibility in Neurology
• A current unrestricted license or the ability to obtain a license to practice medicine in Ohio
