Qualifications

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (R).
• ARRT (VI) in Vascular-Interventional Radiology or registration within 2 years.
• Current South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist vascular surgeons in various invasive procedures.
• Responsible for obtaining and managing equipment for procedures.
• Ensure proper sterile techniques in procedural setups.

Skills

Competence in providing developmentally appropriate care

Knowledge of radiation protection

Skill in anatomy and radiographic techniques

Experience with vascular interventional equipment

Education

Graduate of a 2 year AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology
