St. Peter's Health Partners is hiring a full-time Interventional Vascular Technologist for the day shift in Albany, NY. The role performs vascular/interventional imaging under the direction of the Chief of Medical Imaging.

The ideal candidate holds an AAS in Radiologic Technology, NY license, and has experience with interventional procedures. Advanced cardiovascular/interventional certification is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• AAS in Radiologic Technology (or equivalent).
• Current NYS Radiologic Technology license.
• Advanced Cardiovascular/Interventional Technology certification preferred.
• Experience with diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures is desirable.

Aufgaben

• Operate and adjust imaging equipment.
• Explain procedure to patient; position patient and equipment.
• Obtain and record a complete clinical history for the exam.
• Evaluate requests for appropriateness; refer concerns to coordinator/Radiologist.
• Compress and evaluate arterial/venous puncture sites.
• Select appropriate factors for the imaging exam.
• Assist in instruction of student technologists and new personnel.
• Apply post-processing techniques to optimize images.
• Maintain inventories (catheters, guidewires, stents).
• Maintain aseptic technique during procedures and scrub with physician.
• Access and interpret lab values and patient monitoring equipment.
