Job summary

Brown University Health at Rhode Island Hospital is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to perform vascular and interventional exams with focus on safety and patient care across geriatric, adult, and pediatric populations.

You will assist radiologists in delivering interventional and angiographic procedures, manage equipment, and ensure accurate documentation and coding. The role requires ARRT registration, RI license, CPR/BLS, and on-site collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Two years of formal training in an approved School of radiological technology.
• Current Rhode Island Department of Health license to practice.
• CPR certification from AHA, BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Advance registry test in Cardiovascular-Interventional Technology within three years of placement.

Responsibilities

• Maintains work areas in a clean and orderly condition using aseptic techniques where necessary.
• Prepares sterile supply trays required by physician.
• Assists radiologist in interventional and angiographic procedures.
• Operates biplane and single-plane fluoroscopic equipment.
• Injects contrast media with a power injector as ordered by the physician.
• Archives images and completes procedure documentation in PACs/LifeChart/Hi-IQ.
• Input all required case information in LifeChart, PACs, and Hi-IQ.
• Ensures proper charge codes are utilized.
