Job summary

Brown University Health in Providence, RI, is seeking a Vascular and Interventional Radiology Technologist to perform interventional exams under supervision, ensuring equipment integrity and patient safety across geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients.

Responsibilities include preparing sterile trays, assisting radiologists, operating fluoroscopy equipment, maintaining records in PACs and LifeChart, following ALARA principles, and ensuring proper charge codes.

Qualifications

• Two years of formal radiologic technology training and ARRT registration.
• Rhode Island license to practice and current CPR certification.
• Advanced registry test in Cardiovascular-Interventional Technology within 3 years.
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork and patient communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, sterile exam areas and prepare sterile trays for procedures.
• Assist radiologists with interventional and angiographic procedures as required.
• Position patients, perform aseptic prep, and ensure proper organ visualization.
• Operate biplane and single-plane fluoroscopic equipment and log runs.
• Input case information in LifeChart, PACs, and Hi-IQ; ensure correct charge codes.
• Adhere to ALARA principles and monitor patient status during procedures.
