Job summary

AdventHealth Ocala is seeking a qualified Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist to produce high-quality ultrasound images, follow safety and sterile procedures, and assist physicians during procedures. The role emphasizes patient positioning, equipment setup, and accurate record-keeping.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's degree, RVT and BLS certification, and has at least one year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree is required.
• Technical/Vocational School is required.
• 1+ year of position-related experience is required.
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Produces quality diagnostic ultrasound images using proper equipment techniques and technical factors.
• Performs all ultrasound procedures according to department policies.
• Follows prescribed hospital safety standards and sterile techniques to prevent contamination.
• Positions and transfers patients for exams.
• Maintains records per department and hospital policies.
• Assists physicians in procedures, ensuring proper lab work and specimen delivery.
• Maintains department orderliness and restocks supplies as necessary.
