Job summary

HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital in Charleston, SC is seeking a Vascular - General Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic general and non-invasive vascular studies for adult and geriatric patients with high quality, following established policies.

The role includes assisting with procedures, ensuring patient modesty and safety, proper probe placement, equipment checks and maintaining a clean, compliant work area. ARDMS registration and BLS certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree
• 1 to 3 years of experience preferred, preferably in an acute-care setting
• Eligible for ARDMS registration; RVT preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record all pertinent clinical information relating to the procedure ordered, including results, reason, symptoms and history.
• Facilitate the vascular procedure by proper placement of the probe.
• Assist, transfer and position patients ensuring modesty and safety, using auxiliary equipment.
• Check operation of equipment, maintain cleanliness, and keep area stocked to prevent cross contamination.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Vascular - General Ultrasound Technologist, you will perform diagnostic general and non-invasive vascular procedures on adult and geriatric patients with a high degree of quality as requested by the ordering physician following established policies and procedures.

What you will do in this role

• Obtain and record all pertinent clinical information relating to the procedure ordered including but not limited to collative study results, reason for the procedure, patient complaints/symptoms and history relating to the ability to withstand a vascular procedure
• Facilitate the vascular procedure by proper placement of the probe in accordance with the instructions in the department policy and procedure manual
• Assist, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring their modesty and physical safety, utilizing auxiliary equipment and or devices needed
• Check the operation of equipment, maintain cleanliness of procedure area and equipment to prevent cross contamination of contagious diseases, and keep area stocked with necessary supplies

Qualifications you will need

• Associate degree
• 1 to 3 years of experience preferred, preferably in an acute-care setting
• Eligible for ARDMS registration; RVT preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
