Job summary

Bethany Medical in North Carolina is seeking a Vascular/General Ultrasound Technologist for full-time work. The role performs ultrasonic examinations for radiologic diagnosis, applying ultrasound techniques with independence while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

• ARRT, ARDMS and/or RVT Registration or registry available.
• RDCS or RDMS certification preferred.
• Current BLS required.
• At least 2 years of experience in a hospital or outpatient clinical setting performing ultrasound strongly preferred.
• Persuasive communication skills; verbal and written.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a diverse patient population.
• Professional aptitude, presentation, and demeanor.

Vascular/General Ultrasound Technologist

The selected Full Time Vascular/General Ultrasound Technologist will perform ultrasonic examinations for evaluation and treatment by the Provider. Performs various technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative when applying ultrasound techniques for radiologic diagnosis. Responsible for the safety and comfort of all patients undergoing ultrasound procedures. Ensure that all procedures have been appropriately ordered with patient identification obtained before performing the procedure. Perform all procedures according to departmental protocol. Will need to work independently.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• ARRT, ARDMS and/or RVT Registration or registry available.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification preferred.
• Current BLS required.
• At least 2 years of experience in a hospital or outpatient clinical setting performing ultrasound strongly preferred.
• Persuasive communication skills; verbal and written.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a diverse patient population.
• Professional aptitude, presentation, and demeanor.
