Job summary

CCMC Camden Clark Medical Center seeks an experienced Vascular/Endovascular Surgical Tech to provide intraoperative care as the scrub person during procedures. The role requires adherence to sterile technique, instrument handling, and close collaboration with the circulating RN and surgical team.

Qualified candidates may hold LPN, RN, or Surgical Technology credentials, with BLS within 30 days. The position is on-site at Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV, with rotating 12-hour

Qualifications

• Current licensure as LPN or RN, or completion of a surgical technology program.
• Two years scrub experience with HS diploma acceptable if no licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile field and assist with gowning/gloving.
• Pass instruments and assist with positioning of the patient.
• Assist with sponge, instrument, and needle counts.
• Support OR team with room setup, supplies, and equipment checks.
• Record patient charges and ensure proper equipment turnover.

Performs sponge, instrument, and needle counts with the circulating RN following established guidelines.4. Assists with gowning and gloving surgeons and positioning equipment and instruments.5. Passes sterile instruments to the surgical team during a surgical procedure.6. Assists with transportation and positioning of the patients to include assisting the surgical team by holding retractors and position of operative limb under direction of surgeon7. Prepares supplies and equipment for surgical procedure following preference cards.8. Assists with sterilization and maintenance of sterile and non-sterile supplies and equipment.9. Monitors inventory; orders; and restocks supplies, instruments, and equipment.10. Removes out-of-date items and discards or reprocesses following established guidelines.11. Assists with the general cleaning duties of the department.12. Performs equipment checks as assigned.13. Assists with the proper recording of patient charges.14.
