Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Vascular & Edovascular clinic in Hillcrest. You will schedule patient appointments, assist during procedures, manage supplies, and support billing while maintaining a clean, safe clinical environment.

The ideal candidate will have a CMA or MA training certificate, BART or BLS at hire with six months to obtain, and knowledge of medical terminology, online scheduling, and sterile processing; EPIC and Cadence experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or completion certificate for Medical Assistant training.
• BART or BLS at time of hire with plan to obtain within six months.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, scheduling systems, universal precautions, and sterile technique.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and manage associated workflows.
• Ensure accurate billing and maintain supplies and sterile fields.
• Prepare and maintain procedural setups; assist providers during procedures.
• Support environment cleaning and teamwork to meet safety standards.
