Job summary

Texas Health Plano is seeking a Vascular/Cardiac Sonographer for PRN Days to join our imaging team. You will perform echocardiography and vascular studies, explain procedures to patients, and adapt techniques for age-related factors.

The role requires an HS Diploma or equivalent, an Associate degree preferred, and cardiac/vascular credentials (RCS/RDCS/RVT/RVS) with BCLS prior to independent patient care. Experience is preferred, with diverse work environments including OR, ER, and outpatient

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Associate degree from accredited school of Ultrasound Technology preferred.
• RCS, RDCS, RVT, or RVS credentials required upon hire (one of them).
• BCLS certification required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.

Responsibilities

• Explains procedures to patients or guardians prior to exam.
• Performs complex echocardiography and vascular studies following department policies and IAC standards.
• Adjusts technique parameters for age-related factors as needed.
• Produces quality Echocardiogram, Stress Echocardiogram, Transesophageal Echocardiogram, and/or Vascular studies.

RCS - Registered Cardiac Sonographer

RDCS - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer

RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist

RVS - Registered Vascular Specialist
