Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Registered Vascular/Cardiac Sonographer for the Heart & Vascular Specialists Clinic in Dallas. The role involves performing echocardiography and duplex studies, with travel to surrounding clinics as needed and a 40-hour work week.

The ideal candidate has an Echo and Vascular certification, RNCS/RDS credentials are preferred, and strong communication and professional skills. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or related field preferred.
• Echo Certification required.
• RCS or RDCS required at hire.
• Vascular Certification required.
• ACLS preferred or BCLS required within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year Echo/vascular lab experience preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in cardiac and vascular ultrasound.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients using Registered Vascular/Cardiac Sonographer processes.
• Produces 2D ultrasonic recordings and Doppler analyses for diagnostic use.
• Calculates and documents test values for physician review.
• Performs diagnostic carotid arterial and venous studies.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety.
• Review results with interpreting physician and follow ICAVL guidelines.
• Maintain vascular laboratory QA database and logs.
• Calibrate and maintain equipment and order supplies as needed.
• May perform peripheral vascular procedures as needed.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and team.
