Responsibilities

• Inserts and maintains arterial lines, midlines, PICC lines and other vascular access devices per policy; performs line changes and dressing changes.
• Uses ultrasound to guide arterial and PICC line insertions and reviews chest X-rays for proper placement.
• Provides documentation in electronic medical records and collaborates with physicians on access needs and patient suitability.
