Job summary

HonorHealth in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to independently provide and maintain arterial lines, central venous access, PICC, and related devices in the CV Respiratory Therapy department. The role includes patient assessments, consults, and ensuring correct access for therapy requirements.

You will assist with intubations, manage airway support, dispense medications per orders, and document thoroughly in the EMR while supporting quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Inserts and maintains arterial lines, midlines, PICC lines and other vascular access devices according to policy.
• Performs patient assessments and collaborates with physicians to select appropriate access avenues.
• Assists with intubations and manages airway support during procedures and emergencies.
• Dispenses pharmacologic solutions as prescribed and monitors for adverse reactions.
• Maintains sterile technique and documents accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Provides and supports respiratory care services as prescribed and coordinates with RNs during procedures.
