Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and select appropriate vascular access device.
• Insert and maintain PICCs, Midlines, extended-dwell catheters and ultrasound-guided IVs.
• Verify catheter placement, patency, and function per policy.
• Monitor for complications and manage care accordingly.
• Educate patients and families on devices, care, and prevention of complications.
• Apply infection-prevention standards and device care.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and track outcomes.
• Support quality-improvement activities and inventory management.
