Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center's Venous Access Team is seeking an experienced RN to develop vascular access expertise and provide direct patient care using the nursing process. The role emphasizes patient safety and high-quality clinical judgment.

Responsibilities include placement and care of venous access devices, advising on options, managing PICC lines, ports and catheters, and coordinating care across the team to deliver timely, evidence-based care. Licensure and BLS/ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Licensed Registered Nurse with BLS/ACLS as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Placement and care of venous access devices.
• Advising on the most appropriate vascular access options.
• Managing devices such as temporary lines, PICC lines, tunneled catheters, and indwelling chest ports.
• Conducting comprehensive assessments to recommend optimal vascular access solutions.
• Provides direct patient care and uses nursing process to plan and evaluate care.
• Coordinates care with staff to ensure safe, patient-centered services.
