Job summary

Hampton VA Health Care System Center is seeking a Vascular Access Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care for patients, including management of vascular access devices and coordination of education for patients and families.

The role requires a nursing degree (ADN/ Diploma or higher), active RN licensure, and English proficiency. Candidates should be prepared to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment within the Hampton campus and surrounding clinics.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency is required.
• Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate accrediting agency and accredited by ACEN or CCNE.
• Current state license as a registered nurse or eligibility for licensure in Virginia (or other state as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Coordinates care with emphasis on patient education, self-management, and satisfaction across the care continuum.
• Administers medications and procedures per establishment policies and guidelines.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to influence care outcomes.
• Leads quality improvement activities and supports evidence-based practice.
• Provides advanced nursing care for vascular access devices (PIV, PICC) and maintains CVADs.
