Job summary

Qualifications

• RN with active state licensure and ACLS certification.
• 4–6 years' related nursing experience preferred.
• Proficient in computers and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Medical database software.
• Proficient in IV insertion.
• Proficient in cardiac rhythm recognition.

Responsibilities

• Obtains medical history, discusses the procedure and performs a nursing assessment on the day of the procedure.
• Provides education to patients and families regarding post-procedure care.
• Monitors patient condition before, during and after the procedure, including moderate sedation and contrast.
• Administers medications and IV moderate sedation per physician orders, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Acts as scrub technologist and assists physician during the procedure with sterile technique.
• Maintains accurate documentation of patient information from admission to discharge and completes chart audits.
