Job summary

UC Health’s University of Cincinnati Medical Center seeks a full-time Registered Nurse in Vascular Access to deliver ultrasound-guided PICC and peripheral IV care for inpatients and outpatients at a Level I Trauma Center.

You will perform bedside insertions, assess devices, educate patients and families, and document care in the medical record per policy. The role emphasizes clinical excellence and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Associates degree minimum; BSN preferred.
• Current OH RN license.
• BLS certification.
• Vascular access or ultrasound experience required.

Responsibilities

• Bedside insertion of PICC, midlines, and peripheral IV catheters under ultrasound guidance.
• Examine, assess, and evaluate vascular access devices.
• Provide education to patients and family on the procedure and line care.
• Identifies and responds to patient needs related to behavioral health, or culturally guided care.
• Demonstrates critical thinking, professionalism, accountability, flexibility, and cooperation.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation within the medical record per hospital policy.
• Supports personal and peer professional development and time/attendance policies.
