Job summary

Penn State Health is seeking a RN Registered Nurse for the Vascular Access Team at Hershey Medical Center. The role focuses on inserting and maintaining vascular access devices, including PICC lines, with patient education and collaboration for optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or enrollment in BSN within one year and completion in four years.
• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment or multistate license.
• Minimum of two years of RN experience.
• Clinical vascular access experience including PICC line insertion and ultrasound-guided access.
• Ability to assess patients for appropriate vascular access device selection and insertion.
• CRNI or VA-BC certification within two years of onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Insert and maintain vascular access devices, including PICC lines.
• Assess patients for appropriate vascular access and educate on care and maintenance.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient progress.
• Participate in ongoing education to stay current with best practices.
