Job summary

Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Vascular Access Team, caring for pediatric and adult patients requiring difficult venous access and central line care (PICC and midline). The nurse will educate patients, families, and staff, delivering developmentally appropriate care.

This full-time night position requires a BSN, TX licensure or NCLEX/Compact, BLS, and 9 months of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• Current Texas nursing licensure or NCLEX/Compact required.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong interpersonal, time management and communication skills; knowledge of central line care and nursing process.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents assessment of the patient/family across developmental stages.
• Analyzes situations, anticipates problems, updates plan of care as needed.
• Participates in rounds and care conferences; documents in medical records.
