Job summary
VTP Holdings is seeking a Vascular Access Nurse Consultant in Phoenix, AZ who will work with our clinical teams to resolve venous access issues and support physician treatment objectives. Duties include placing PICCs, midlines, peripheral IVs under ultrasound guidance and managing vascular access devices across hospital and non-hospital settings.
Travel to patient sites is required; this is part-time per diem with weekend shifts and holiday rotation.
Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Nurse with active license and BLS certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of acute care RN experience.
- Experience placing PICCs, midlines, or other vascular access devices using ultrasound.
- Experience in vascular access device management, including care, maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Must possess a smart phone and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation for travel to patient sites.
Responsibilities
- Place PICCs, midlines, and peripheral IVs using ultrasound guidance.
- Utilize ECG technology for PICC tip confirmation.
- Assist with management of PICCs and vascular access devices.
- Educate facility nursing staff regarding PICCs, midlines and CVADs.
- Provide vascular access support services including port access, line removal, declotting.
