Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH is seeking an experienced pediatric registered nurse for night shifts (36 hrs/week). Responsibilities include inserting and managing vascular access devices, patient assessment, and education for families. Requires BSN or ADN with commitment to BSN and Ohio RN licensure.

Inserts and manages vascular access devices for patients undergoing medical treatments.
Assesses patients' vascular access needs and determining the most appropriate access device.
Cares and maintains peripheral intravenous catheters, midline catheters, and peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs).
Monitors patients' vascular access devices for complications, such as infection, occlusion, and extravasation.
Provides education to patients and their families on vascular access care and maintenance.
Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement vascular access policies and procedures.
Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the safety and efficacy of vascular access care.
BSN or Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire, required.
Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio, required.
One year post orientation related clinical experience in area of specialty, preferred.
