Job summary

Vascular Wellness is seeking a Vascular Access LPN to join the Fayetteville team at a major medical center. You will support the in-house vascular access team as a rounding nurse at Cape Fear Valley Hospital, with four 10-hour shifts weekly and a compensation of $28–$32 per hour.

Sign-on bonus up to $2,500 is offered, paid in two installments upon hire and after 6 months, with a minimum one-year commitment. Training is available for candidates with limited experience.

Qualifications

• Active NC LPN license in good standing.
• HIPAA/HITECH compliance with all activities.
• Completion of drug screen and background check.
• Adherence to Company policies and procedures.
• Lift and move 50lbs repetitively.
• Have reliable transportation, may include driving distances over 60 miles to client satellite facility.
• Complete all required modules, credentialing paperwork, and skills assessment.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and review assignments with the Procedural RN on site.
• Provide hands-on care, maintenance, and site assessment for central line catheters, dialysis catheters, and midlines.
• Use aseptic technique to start peripheral IVs as needed.
• Promote proper standards of care for PIV access, central utility, and maintenance.
• Use sterile technique with all dressing changes.
• Act as a circulator for procedures, including monitoring and documenting start times, maintaining a sterile field, transporting and cleaning equipment, and coordinating with Help Desk.
• Assist in accurately completing all documentation for patient chart and main office EMR.
• Communicate changes with patient’s primary care nurse and on-site procedural RN.
