Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME, is recruiting a Registered Nurse for the Perioperative/vascular services team. This full-time, days position offers a sign-on bonus up to $20,000 and requires current RN licensure, BLS, and perioperative experience with CNOR preferred.

The role collaborates with the OR team to deliver high-quality patient care across the perioperative continuum, including neonates to older adults, while maintaining standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training
• Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting using the nursing process.
• Coordinate care with surgeon and anesthesiologist to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Direct and guide OR staff and maintain unit organization and standards.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and unit meetings as appropriate.
