Job summary

Lake Local Schools District in Uniontown, Ohio invites applications for the position of Assistant Varsity Wrestling Coach. The candidate will report to the Athletic Director and Head Coach and help manage all aspects of the wrestling program.

Responsibilities include attending meetings, assisting in program administration, conducting practices, and promoting sportsmanship while representing the district professionally. Must possess a valid pupil activity permit and related certificates.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Pupil Activity Permit (and all necessary certificates).
• Acts that are deemed as lude, sexual, or inappropriate will be viewed as unacceptable and may be considered as grounds for administrative action, dismissal, or termination of contract.

Responsibilities

• Report to Athletic Director and head coach.
• Attend all meetings scheduled by the head coach.
• Assist in the administration of the athletic program.
• Demonstrate loyalty to the head coach and to the program.
• Maintain good public relations with those groups and individuals involved with the program.
• Support the Lake Athletic Booster Club.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.
• Teach the values of good sportsmanship.
• Be available for Athletic Department meetings as necessary.
• Work through proper channels and protocol in referring parents or the public to appropriate administrative responses.
• Assume responsibilities of head coach in matters of supervision in absence of head coach.
• Pre-season supervision of practices and equipment issuance.
• In-season duties and scouting of other teams.
• Off-season equipment collection and inventory, banquet activities, and conditioning program involvement.
