Job summary

Lake Local Schools District seeks an Assistant Coach for JV Bowling to support the athletic program under the supervision of the Athletic Director and Head Coach. The role requires collaboration, reliability, and commitment to program values in Uniontown, Ohio.

The successful candidate will assist in pre-season, in-season, and off-season activities, attend meetings, and help with equipment, conditioning, and coordination with feeder programs.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Pupil Activity Permit (and all necessary certificates).

Responsibilities

• Attend all meetings scheduled by the head coach.
• Assist in the administration of the athletic program.
• Demonstrate loyalty to the head coach and to the program.
• Maintain good public relations with those groups and individuals involved with the program.
• Support the Lake Athletic Booster Club.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.
• Teach the values of good sportsmanship.
• Be available for Athletic Department meetings as necessary.
• Works through proper channels and protocol in referring parents or the public to appropriate administrative responses.
• Assume responsibilities of head coach in matters of supervision in absence of head coach.
• be in attendance from the first day of practice.
• assist with the supervision of practices and games.
• assist with the issuance of equipment.
• assist in pre-season conditioning as assigned by the head coach.
• carry out the duties assigned by the head coach.
• assist the trainer with his/her duties.
• scout other schools’ teams as necessary.

General Description:

The position of assistant coach will be filled based upon input from the head coach, Athletic Director, and Building Principal and recommendation of the Superintendent to the Board of Education. The assistant coach must meet all provisions of the Lake Board of Education and the OHSAA.
