Job summary

Buffalo Public Schools seeks a Varsity Unified Bowling Coach (Coed) for PS 206 South Park High School in Buffalo, NY, for the 2026-2027 school year. The coach reports to the Athletics Director and Building Principal and leads the bowling program to develop student-athletes and sportsmanship.

Candidates must meet First Aid/CPR/AED requirements prior to applying and may pursue NYS Coaching Certification or NFHS NYS Specific Second Pathway Process.

Qualifications

• Experience in organized bowling at club/varsity level preferred.
• Effective coaching techniques and skills.
• Knowledge of the rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of bowling.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, parents, and students.

Responsibilities

• Model nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.
• Assume complete responsibility for the conduct of the team.
• Assume responsibility for the philosophy and teachings of the athletic program, if applicable.
• Be available for contests and practices at the start of the athletic season, Monday through Saturday and some holidays.
• Supervise the use, issuance, return, cleaning, inventory, and care of equipment.
