Job summary

Dominion High School in Sterling, Virginia is seeking a head swimming coach for the winter season (November–February). The role supports student-athletes academically and athletically while coordinating with the athletic department.

You will oversee training, supervise assistant coaches, schedule contests, maintain eligibility lists, and promote sportsmanship and school pride. Prior high school coaching experience and CPR/First Aid certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience at high school or college level.
• CPR and First Aid certification or current enrollment in a CPR/First Aid course.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining high academic standards for all student athletes.
• Assist athletic director and principal in hiring/retaining assistant coaches.
• Direct, supervise, and evaluate the performance of all assistant coaches.
• Collaborate with athletic director to ensure proper insurance coverage for athletes.
• Work with head coaches to operate a well-balanced athletic program.
• Foster values of athletics, sportsmanship, and school pride among participants.
