Job summary

Eugene School District 4J is seeking a head coach for the 2026/27 season to lead planning, development, and implementation of interscholastic athletics policies. The role provides leadership and vision within the program and organizes and conducts the athletic programs to meet district needs.

Responsibilities include coaching, staff supervision, and collaboration with schools, families, and the community while upholding HIPAA/FERPA standards and OSAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Understanding of high school interscholastic athletics policies and OSAA/NFHS rules.
• Knowledge of athlete conditioning and injury prevention.
• Ability to supervise and lead staff and teams; maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement interscholastic athletic program policies and procedures.
• Organize and conduct the athletic programs to meet district needs.
• Provide training and coaching to improve individual and group performance.
• Collaborate with diverse students, staff, and community groups.
• Maintain professional conduct and effective communication.
