Role Description

This is a part-time seasonal role as a Varsity Girls Volleyball Assistant Coach located in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The Assistant Coach will be responsible for assisting in coaching, training, and educating the varsity girls volleyball team on a day-to-day basis.

Plus $400 for 3-months of unlimited MetroCards for transportation.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Head Coach in implementing training programs and game strategies aligned

with Jesuit values and holistic student development

• Assist with coordination of daily practice and game logistics
• Attend required athletic department and school functions
• Help manage administrative tasks including:
• Attendance recording, game-day operations, match reporting, uniform

distribution/collection, and team events

• Demonstrate exemplary leadership and communication when interacting with student-

athletes, parents, coaching staff, faculty, and administration

• Provide personalized feedback to student-athletes regarding their volleyball skills, character

formation, and leadership potential

• Collaborate with the Head Coach to design training approaches that address individual

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; prior volleyball experience at high school or collegiate level
• Understanding of volleyball techniques, tactical approaches, and injury prevention protocols
• Ability to establish meaningful connections with student-athletes, families, and colleagues
• Understanding of adolescent development and effective mentoring strategies
• Strong organizational abilities and effective communication skills
• Required certifications prior to season start: concussion awareness training and First

Aid/AED/CPR
